Why we are building Ateve
Ateve is an AI-native infrastructure company building the next generation of search for intelligent systems. We connect LLMs and AI agents to the real world through real-time search, live entity data, and verification against original sources, helping AI work with information that is accurate, current, and grounded.
For most of the last decade, AI meant something you talked to. That is changing. The systems being deployed now do not answer questions so much as do work — they research, reconcile, file, book, and act on what they find.
As that shift happens, the bottleneck moves. It is no longer how well a model reasons, frontier models already reason well enough for most of what we ask of them. What limits them is what they know at the moment they act, and how sure they can be that it is true.
Search, as it exists, was not built for this. It was built for people. It returns ten links and trusts a human to open them, read around the ads, weigh the source, and hold the answer in their head. An agent can do none of that. It needs the evidence itself — structured, attributable, current — not a list of places the evidence might be.
That gap is what we are building into. Ateve is search infrastructure for machines: real-time retrieval that returns the specific evidence a model needs, with its source attached, so an agent can act on it and a person can check it.
